The pads on the SPD-30 are very responsive and offer a natural playing feel, and as they’re all physically separated, there are no issues with crosstalk. A second USB port enables you to attach flash memory drives to back up your phrase data. In addition to playing its internal sounds, the SPD-30 can be used to trigger external modules, or it can exchange MIDI notes with an attached computer via USB. ![]() It’s possible to attach four more trigger pads to the SPD-30, and with its dedicated hi-hat controller, it can act as a full drum kit by adding some Roland V-Pads and cymbals.
